Excavation, Road Building, and Site Preparation with Nature in mind.
I believe in making the most of the natural beauty of each piece of land. If you pay close attention to the lay of the land you can maximize the function and form of your construction project. All too often people "wipe the slate clean" and then replant with nursery stock. This is expensive and usually inferior to the native flora. Working with the trees and bushes on site requires a gentler approach to site preparation. I prefer to harvest some of the trees on site and mill them locally to use later in the construction of the home.
Build with Nature, Not in Spite of it.
Native flora as landscaping
Utilizing wood on the land
Know Your Land.
Camp on site to understand the pattenrs of sun, wind, etc
Don't Build a Box, Think Outside of It!
Nature doesn't create straight lines. So why should you? Design you driveways and structures with the lay of the land in mind.
